In small groups of up to 9 students, with community support, a vibrant cultural agenda and an inspiring library, you will find the best place in the city to live and practice the language.

El Club del Català opens the doors of the Ateneu Barcelonès to you so that you can learn, practise, and discover the language and culture of Catalonia.
El Club del Català offers a wide range of possibilities. Personalised language learning in small groups and through a communicative method allows you to make steady progress and soon be able to live your daily life in Catalan. Beyond the classes, we accompany you in other participatory and amusing activities: outings to the theatre, the cinema or emblematic places in the city and throughout the country.
We also invite you to take part in conversation groups, reading clubs or to find a language exchange partner.
Being part of El Club del Català means joining an institution whose very purpose is culture and debate. With more than 150 years of history, the Ateneu Barcelonès invites you to participate in its lively and ongoing programme of activities focused on contemporary issues in both humanities and sciences. You can join any of its sections (Music, Science and Technology, Economics or History, Literature, Philosophy…) according to your interests.
In addition, you will find a welcoming space that invites you to conversation in its gatherings, to reading in its library, and to enjoy its romantic garden.
