Engaged members and project presence at the Fair: El Club del Català continues to grow

30.10.2025

El Club del Català establishes itself as a meeting place for those who want to learn Catalan, practice it, and gain a deeper understanding of Catalan culture.

On Saturday, October 25, the Club participated in the Barcelona International Community Day Fair, held at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona. This event, promoted by the Barcelona City Council, is the annual reference gathering for the international community living and working in the city, and has become the main space for welcoming and integrating professionals from around the world. The presence of El Club del Català helped raise awareness of the project and establish new contacts with people interested in learning and practicing the language.

Additionally, on Monday, October 27, we held a meeting at the Ateneu with 25 members and volunteers who want to take an active role in the Club, either by serving as language partners or by supporting students in the various activities organized to explore Catalan culture and integrate into the country’s cultural network. We are very grateful for their involvement, volunteer work, and willingness, which are key to the growth and success of the project.

A great diversity of origins

Participants in El Club del Català come from a wide variety of countries and territories: Albania, Germany, England, Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain, the United States, France, Guinea Conakry, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, the Basque Country, the Netherlands, Russia, Taiwan, Ukraine, China, and Cyprus.
