The Passion of Olesa

A unique performance deeply rooted in the land. The Passion, staged in various towns and cities across Catalonia, recreates the final days of Jesus Christ’s life and is the highlight of the Holy Week celebrations.

In Olesa de Montserrat, the current text of The Passion dates back to 1947, although the origins of the performance are much earlier.

In addition, to make the dialogues easier to understand, the show includes subtitles in Spanish and English.

After the performance, you can take the opportunity to get to know the town of Olesa de Montserrat a bit better and, if you wish, even have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants (be sure to book a table in advance, as performance days fill up quickly).
